Regional Centre of Excellence for Nutrition Rehabilitation, Resource and Training (RCoENRRT) established at Department of Pediatrics and Community & Family Medicine (CFM), AIIMS, Bhopal in 2019 for strengthening the Facility and Community based Management of SAM (CSAM) programmes respectively. RCoENRRT is actively involved in supportive supervision through concurrent monitoring & evaluation for gap identification and implementation challenges of the CSAM programme in the State. As malnutrition is multifactorial so the activities includes technical support, capacity building, evidence generation, assessment of CSAM activities in the nodal centres, assessment of SAM prevalence and liaisoning with various stakeholders for facilitating community mobilization. RCoENRRT has developed continuous channels of communication between various stakeholders (Inter and Intra Departmental convergence) by facilitating uninterrupted information flow. It converges the concepts of research and practice to bring out the best for the state in its fight against malnutrition for children below 5 years by strengthening the evidence based management of children with SAM.
