Rajasthan: Regional Centre of Excellence for Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition and Infant & Young Child Nutrition, Dr. S.N. Medical College, Jodhpur

Regional Centre of Excellence for Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition (IMAM) and Infant & Young Child Nutrition (IYCN) established in March, 2017 at Dr. S.N. Medical College, Jodhpur in collaboration with the Department of Medical, Health and Family Welfare, Government of Rajasthan and supported by UNICEF, Rajasthan. The RCoE supports the State in planning, implementation, monitoring and capacity building related to Health and Nutrition programmes of children, adolescent girls, pregnant women and lactating mothers. RCoE also supports the State Government programme on prevention of malnutrition with a vision of reducing State’s Infant Mortality Rate, Neonatal Mortality Rate and Maternal Mortality Ratio. The Malnutrition Treatment Centre (MTC) at RCoE functions as Nodal Training Centre for capacity building of MTC staff across the State. In addition, RCoE Jodhpur facilitates capacity building of health system on MAA/IYCN and supports in strengthening capacity in the treatment and nutritional management of children with SAM at community and facility in the marginalized and underprivileged remote area in the Districts of Pali, Jalore, Sirohi, Barmer and Jaisalmer of Rajasthan.
