Odisha: State Centre of Excellence (SCoE) for Child Health and Nutrition, Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar

State Centre of Excellence (SCoE) for Child Health and Nutrition established in December, 2017 at Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar in collaboration with the Department of Health and Family Welfare, NHM, Government of Odisha and technical & financial support from UNICEF, Odisha. In addition, NCoE-SAM, KSCH, New Delhi provides technical support for National level capacity building and protocol development. SCoE supports in capacity building on Integrated Management of Severe Acute Malnutrition (IMSAM) and child health related interventions, monitoring the quality standards of NRCs, knowledge management and technical guidance to the State on strengthening of child health and nutrition programmes. SCoE act as a think tank and guides the state to develop/adopt new policies, protocols, guidelines and facilitate convergent action plan by various line departments. In addition, SCoE also provide technical support to Infant and Young Child Feeding counseling centre established at Pediatric OPD at the Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
